VITA

The author was born on 13th September, 1947 in Lawra in the Upper Region of Ghana. From the period 1955-1961 he attended the Lawra Primary and Middle Day School. In 1962, he gained admission into the Navrongo Secondary School, obtaining his 0'1evels in 1967 and A'levels in 1969.
He worked for a brief period with the Ghana Teaching Service and in 1971 gained admission into the University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, to read for a B. Sc. degree in planning.
