Mobility for the majority. The Focus of this gate edition, is about people's very basic needs. This gate Focus presents various facets of mobility for the masses. Our contributions stress a needs-oriented approach which mainly involves intermediate transport initiatives but also look at projects involving motorisation strategies.

Bicycle reference manual for Developing Countries

Completed for the Web!: 476 page manual edited by myself (& brought out by GATE) with information on transportation planning aspects of cycling around the world.

Recommended Reading - A bibliography (German / English)

There are more and more useful publications in the field of sustainable transport. A lot more could be done so let me encourage students of transportation planning at this point to take up sustainable transport issues in their field work/theses so I can recommend them in the future!
